Which dental services are compensated for?
The benefit applies to essential dental services. In cooperation with the Estonian Dental Association, the Health Insurance Fund has prepared a package of essential dental services for patients, for which compensation is paid.
Primary dental care services include:
- initial or repeated dentist's appointment;
- diagnostics (including X-rays);
- placement of the drug and the installation of temporary filling;
- installation of permanent filling;
- removal of the tooth;
- opening and treating the purulent lesion;
- root canal treatment;
- removal of tartar under the gums by surgery;
- anesthesia.
