Persons with up to five years left until attaining the retirement age who are maintained by their spouses who are insured persons are entitled to health insurance.
In order to obtain insurance, an application has to be submitted to the Health Insurance Fund.
Insurance will commence upon making the entry into the health insurance database.
The Health Insurance board makes the entry within five working days of the receipt of correct documents.
Insurance will be terminated:
- the dependant reaches retirement age (insurance is continued as a pensioner) or
- divorce or
- The insurance of the provider is terminated
